The Outer Edge's first attempt to rework Hudson People's cult classic 'Trip To Your Mind', where Delfonic and LTJ Xperience provided fine re-rubs, was a runaway success, so the Berlin-based imprint has come back for a second bite of the apple, so to speak. This time round, the man at the controls is experienced re-editor and remixer DJ Friction. Across a tidy seven-inch single, he provides two revisions: an A-side 'rework' that sounds like a genuine multi-track re-edit (the original instrumentation and vocals are all present, with Friction foregrounding the propulsive drums, heady horns and fluid bassline), and a superior 'dub rework' that boasts judicious use of effects and a far more driving rhythm.
