First released in 2011 and ever since a low-key favourite amongst the heads, Meteorology signalled the start of a fresh wave of experimental and minimal house defined by wit, warmth and playful imagination. Over a decade later, Daniel Gardner's sonic novella returns and it has been carefully reassembled with a reshaped track order and fully remastered sound that reveals new hidden textures and renewed depth. It's a beautiful record that is intelligent but never smart-ass. The groves are imbued with a sense of impish mischief, and the samples are odd but not whacky. Some are deeper late-night dubbers like 'Rising', others are wonky tech gems like 'Serenade Des Excentriques.' A still unique-sounding album.
