DJ Daniele Baldelli and producer Gaudi unite on 'The Bright Side Of The Moog', bouncing out jauntily from a chance meet three years ago at London's Jazz Cafe, where sessions between studios lit an ablazing working spark, one that gained a boost in inspirant charge from Baldelli's prized record collection. Armed to the teeth with analogue gear, the duo let instinct be their guide, working a simple groove to multiform psyche-funk and electronic disco. Without pre-set rules, 'Between Zenith And Nadir' and 'Taishogoto' are prime-cut examples of such good stuff: forbidden-planet funk set to freak FX, and a marching, steed-lashing, wild Western sense of urgency.
