A vinyl factory and by extension record label, Fourth Wave Record Factory operate out of Tokyo. Here they appear to set up a new 7" splits series, pairing two brilliants from Amii Ozaki and Anli & Moses, both leading lights of Japan's 70s and 80s funk manias. Ozaki made most waves for her 1981 album Shady, merging soft pop, AOR and funk, and on which 'Watashi Wo Yonde' first appeared as the central pan-flute-flamboyant. Then Anli & Moses, an earlier funk supergroup led by Anri Sugano, reappear like eidola on 'Ushinawareta Houyou' ('Lost Embrace'), a staple of the 1977 second LP Super Street Car. The B track especially is a nightcrawling, sploitation-scoring gem - a true Chevy-chasing hooter, with nice windwalking vocals.
