Soundwise, "HZG" balances between the chaotic energy of underground clubs and the hypnotic, almost trance-like atmosphere of late-night drives through a deserted city. The era-appropriate rough textures, distorted pads, and slicing of sound are presented here in a more detailed, developed form.

Each track is a different piece of the puzzle—from fragmented jungle rollers full of syncopation and glitchy details, to more reflective, fragmented tracks touching on ambient and liquid funk. The album not only pays homage to the genre's pioneers but also demonstrates how timeless this aesthetic is when filtered through a coexisting sensibility.

"HZG" isn't a nostalgic rehash—it's a reinterpretation of the spirit of those years, captured in a new form: grimy, idiosyncratic, and uncompromising.
