Jordan, a name garnering respect as one of the most prominent recent exports of Belfast's flourishing scene, returns with a new EP - Obsession, on Abandon Silence
Reflecting on a recent schedule packed with club shows across the globe, as well as a Boiler Room appearance, Jordan has crafted two italo-inflected club bangers, Kerbcrawler and Obsession.
Obsession is an unabashedly 80's inspired club weapon; pairing Animotion lyrics with a rolling arp bassline and a breakdown worthy of the biggest of peak time moments.
Kerbcrawler keeps up the pace with synth workouts with more than a nod to the italo disco era, culminating in guaranteed dancefloor smiles as demonstrated by Bicep when they dropped it as one of the closers at their recent Twitch show in Belfast.
Meanwhile, support via remixes comes from Bawrut, Alex Virgo and Tom VR.
Ransom Note favourite, Bawrut takes Obsession in his signature leftfield electronic direction, teaming up chaotic hardware business with the best bits of the original. One for the dark rooms.
Alex Virgo has re-imagined Kerbcrawler for the big room, taking the original's synths and rolling them across 7 chaotic minutes which has received plays to rapturous response at some of Europe's biggest festivals whilst on promo.
On the digitally exclusive remix, Tom VR showcases his incredible 2018 form by stretching Obsession in to an epic sunrise track - the perfect closer.
The EP also rounds off a landmark year for Abandon Silence after their huge debut release from Lucas Welle which was a massive festival highlight for all the big scene players. With Winter now upon us, this EP turns their attention from festival season to the clubs.
