CAL C (aka Callum Cockburn) has been building up to this for a while and now finally releases his debut EP, Spacedust EP, which it is fair to say is a dazzling addition to the dance world. Produced and pressed with precision at Mother Tongue in Verona, Toronto's rhythmic innovator shows his class with primal beats merged with futuristic sounds to make for a vibrant, forward-thinking musical experience. All five cuts explore slightly different sound worlds but all with equal class and style. A fine debut, with hopefully much more to come.
