With a firm salute, we welcome back Melbourne DJ and producer Sgt Slick with this sixth addition in his long-running edits series. Since breaking in the late 90s with the scallywag 'White Treble, Black Bass', he's followed a casual but consistent releasing pattern, outing a new EP once every two years or so. This volume lines up 'Found Robert Smith', a sly nod to bolshy post-punk and new wave reframed for house systems, the funk-driven 'No Sitting Down', acid-flecked burner 'Bed Of XTC', and 'Dovely Lay', which twists a soft rock staple into a Balearic groove. Another eminent Edits batch for DJs to reach for when the roof needs raising.
