Wrenching a first-time place in the Uluru fold for himself, Italian editor GBC turns in a two-track 7" doffing its hat to hip disco's left-of-leftfield corners. On the A-side, 'The Message Edit' reworks Grandmaster Flash's anti-system missive into a dizzy hyperthermal delirium, which then only cools down the heatwave with a spliced-in female vocal. Then the B's 'Breathe And Stop' reheats the leftovers with a slack reimagining of the solo Q-Tip jawn. Both edits are lean, drum-forward, and unmistakably dialled into the sampledelic nutriments Uluru was raised on. Pressed in an edition of 300 on 48g black or white vinyl - it's a tossup as to which you get.
