Following inspired releases from Retromigration, DJ Psychiatre, Moonee and Jesse Bru, Oath's Last Year In Marienbad offshoot has snapped up a first collaborative EP from sometime Scissor & Thread contributor Alex Albrecht and notoriously enigmatic deep house scene stalwart GRANT. Given their credentials, it's no surprise to find that the resulting EP is a doozy. Check first the immersive, delay-laden and dubbed-out dreaminess of 'Tangible Dreams', where a deep and propulsive groove is peppered with twinkling piano motifs and bubbly synth sounds, and Lawrence's accompanying remix, a dub bass-propelled and sonically swirling delight. On side B, ambient-influenced broken deep house gem 'Idle Space' comes accompanied by the ultra-deep shuffle of 'Altered Pollen' and the enveloping brilliance of 'Influx'.
