Rafael "Robert Oh" Vogel's first outing under the Leafar Legov alias, 2016's Family, was widely regarded as a wonderfully atmospheric collection of dusty deep house treats. Happily, this belated follow-up is similarly magical and intoxicating in tone. Tending towards to more horizontal end of the spectrum but with more than enough dancefloor chops, all five tracks strike a balance between ultra-deep wooziness and eyes-closed blissfulness. Check, for example, the gentle dub techno hum of "Force Majeure", the two-step jazz-house deepness of sublime opener "Peace By Peace", and the fluid piano flourishes and spine-tingling vocal samples of deep tech-house shuffler "Ourloveisstrong". Vogel also finds space for a couple of crackling downtempo cuts, of which yearning closer "We Don't Have To Talk About" ranking amongst the EP's many highlights.
