AD93 (formerly known as Whities) remains a hugely singular label with an always avant sound. Vivian Koch is next up to add to the varied yet vital canon with richly layered tracks that melt ambient, techno and experimental. The broken rhythms, busted breaks and glitchy percussive flourishes are run through with star-gazing pads, Vangelis style. It makes for an expansive album of floaty electronic sounds that have both retro-tinged 80s synth textures as well as futuristic rhythms and designs. There are some killer LFO basslines on 'Closed' that make it the standout club track.
