We are thrilled and excited to welcome Irish producer Balmr into our family. Balmr is releasing his debut EP with us, and it sounds truly amazing.

• In his own words: 'It was difficult to escape the sound of House Music growing up in Cork'

• He was heavily influenced by the sounds on the pirate station 'Radio Friendly' and tales of the infamous Sweat Nights with Greg and Shane (aka Fishgodeep) at the legendary Sir Henrys club.

• As an avid record collector from an early age, he began to play locally and then internationally, frequenting Amsterdam hotspots while hosting his Down Right Deep show on Deep House Radio.

• He always had a personal love for the Detroit sound e.g., Norm Talley, Mike Huckaby, Delano Smith, Moodymann etc,. and naturally moved into production.

• He has had numerous releases and remixes in his catalogue on labels such as Nordic Trax, Kolour Detroit and Expanded Records as well as working on mixing for other artists on labels like Yore. 

• He is also one of half of the duo 'Southbounds Sounds', having recently featured as a guest on Lars Behrenroths DSOH show.

• BALMR has several other upcoming projects this year, including 2 vinyl only releases with one on 'Selections Label' out of Toronto featuring a remix from Glenn Davis, and another on Deeper Groove with his fellow collaboration partner Deep Excavations, featuring a remix from John Daly.
