11 years ago, Super Elevation Records founder Tom Noble launched a live disco project of his own, House of Spirits, to pay tribute to the independent and private press disco records that have long inspired him. The story started with 'Holding On', a lightly gospel-tinged slab of warm, dusty, arms-aloft, gospel-tinged disco that doffed a cap to the work of legendary producer Patrick Adams. This seven-inch - the first in a series of freshly edited versions of classic House of Spirit cuts - offers up a new cut-down take on 'Holding On', alongside a similarly shortened version of 2024 album cut 'Love Trip' - another loose and loved up deep disco crew cut that deserves airings over loud and high-quality club soundsystems.
