Dutch hypnotist Rambadu takes on a new client with a double 12" on the suitably baptised Hypnus, the label he's been releasing on for nearly a decade. Recalling his earlier EPs 'Yatras' and 'Mind Garden', we hear the very same drum-centred, ear-fixating approach he first set out to hone as a DJ drawn to meditative, long-form blends. From the beat-rooted invocation of 'Om' and the gliding momentum of 'Bron' to the prismatic churn of 'Realien' and the grainy gorb of 'Fractaal', Rambadu keeps the arrangements spare but quietly invocatory, packed with indirectness of sonic meaning, never explicit. Of course, it's issued under a December full moon, dropping in perfect spheric time.
