Having built his reputation via the impressive Pacific Tones series of releases, machine music maestro Keita Sano recently made his debut on Mister Saturday Night. Here he pops up on Tigersushi's much-admired Crowdspacer offshoot with three tracks of industrial strength analogue funk. "Kung Foo Dog Part 2" is just as riotous as that MSN drop, with mutant, pitched-up dog barks riding a distorted, is-it-jack-or-is-it-techno groove. "Red Clay Part 3" is even wilder, moving from a sparse, futuristic soundscape to a thunderous 808-electro jam in the blink of an eye. Finally. "One Punch" delivers some fine, Jamal Moss style distorted techno. Think redlined drums, wonky noises and one-note bass, and you're close.
