Bradford James and DJ Monchan return to the workshop for four delicious deep house dispatches. Each groove riding with its own dreamy narrative, "This Sound" cascades with woozy pads and a little plucked arpeggio giving E-Man more than enough space to harmonise with gravitas while "Sparks" offers more of an introspective daydream. A sunset roadtrip of a vibe that touches on both blues and Balearic; once again there's bags of roomy for vocalist Bonita Oliver. Flip for two instant uplifts as "You Make Me Happy" pays homage to the source and "Let It Play" is all about the street-strutting groove so tight it would make Alan Kendall blush. Get to work.
