Dan Kyo is best known as Australian artist Jordan Rakei. That name is mostly associated with super smooth and silky soul, lead by Rakei's own buttery smooth vocals and with lush production that is a fine fusion of R&B, neo soul and nu-jazz. Now though the man assumes his Dan Kyo alias for a more dance effort focussed album on Bradley Zero's Rhythm Section. It makes for a wealth of darker, more driving house tracks with bubbling basslines, gorgeous melodies and plenty of fine instrumentation as well as, of course, some of Rakei's famous vocals. Fans of Moodymann and Glenn Underground will adore.
