Dan Shake ditches to scruffy, lo-fi house sounds that made him his early name in favour of some much more banging, rave ready tracks on this new EP on his own label. 'Paper' opens up in drunken fashion, with sleazy vocals and hammering hits underpinned by slamming drunks. It's big, bold, boisterous. 'Bounce' carries on with a similar vibe, everything is oversized, high impact and maximal - subtly has gone in favour of pure dance floor energy. 'Bounce' (The Other mix) has a bit of a throwback rave sound, the sort of thing you might expect to hear coming from a crackly tape deck at a 90s fairground ride.
