A teenage Julien Lourau fell in love with the sultry and seductive sounds of the saxophone when his mum brought him Stanley Turrentine's Salt Song album back home from a trip to Canada. He also fell in love with the gentle funk of the famed CTI label and here assembles some of its best pieces. He compiled the tunes with a view to offering up unknown treats but also a highly listenable and playable album. After the fantastic opening cover of 'Music Makes The World Go Round' the lush and funky sounds come thick and fast. Gorgeous stuff.
