Following the disintegration of seminal British experimentalists This Heat, multi-instrumentalist Gareth Williams collaborated with Mary Currie on Flaming Tunes, a cassette release of lo-fi experimentalism. A beguiling album filled with half-uttered vocals, music-box melodies and a dusty, rickety charm, the album was lost until 2009 when it was released on CD on Life and Living Records. Here it receives its first vinyl edition courtesy of Blackest Ever Black, who present it with iconic new artwork. For fans of This Heat this is essential, but comes highly recommended for those wanting to experience a genuine treasure.
