From Beirut, PRAED - the long-running project of Raed Yassin and Paed Conca - return with The Dictionary of Lost Meanings, a sprawling, ecstatic collision of Egyptian shaabi, free jazz and electronic improvisation. This time, the duo expand into a full ensemble, amplifying their sound into something vast yet intricately detailed. Tracks like 'Djinn Dance' and 'The Spell' spiral between trance-like grooves and chaotic brass eruptions, while 'Mirror House' and 'El A3saab' draw on Arabic rhythmic cycles refracted through distortion and tape haze. The result feels both ritualistic and disorienting. It's a sonic excavation of memory, myth and urban noise. PRAED once again prove that no one merges folk intensity and avant-garde anarchy quite like them.
