Hot damn! It's one of our favourite Muzique 12"s back in stock, and we didn't even see it coming! This collaborative Ep between label boss Steve Poindexter and the Dance Mania's Eric Martin was conjured up in 2004, but hell does it sound like it was made yesterday! Poindexter's filthy beats are never a surprise and "Whiplash" is a classic, raucous cut with all the trimmings, but it's Martin's "Emergency" that's the stand-out nutter on here; a bundle of gritty drum machine patterns, pac-man sounds and organic distortion that bends the rules good and proper. What a winner, this one cannot be slept on again. KILLER.
