Lucrecia Dalt has long been a singular artist whose poetic lyrical dexterity and experimental instincts have long made her one of Colombia's most intriguing artists. Anticlines, her first full length outing for three years, has been trailed by RVNG INTL as "a volume of poetic theory and self contemplating the bodies of self above and beneath the earth's surface". Musically, it's certainly a trippy and mind-altering affair, with Dalt combining gentle modular synthesizer pulses, deep space electronic rhythms and creepy experimental textures with nods towards her Colombian heritage and out-of-this-world ambient weirdness. On top of this brilliant sound soup you'll find Dalt's own spoken word vocals, which tend towards the hypnotic. It is an out of body experience, after all.
