This tasty album from New Orleans trumpeter and jazz composer Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah first slipped out back in 2015 and here gets a deserved coloured vinyl edition. Accompanied throughout by vocalist and flautist Elena Pinderhughes, Atunde Adjuah served up a set that touches on a myriad of jazz styles, from the New Orleans style the producer/performer grew up with, to Latin jazz, jaunty jazz-funk, acid jazz and the atmospheric, soundtrack-inspired style of nu-jazz stalwarts Cinematic Orchestra. Highlights are plentiful and include the slow and seductive "Tantric" and the bouncy, Herb Alpert-influenced "Twin".
