The Optimo Music Disco Plates series returns with a reissue of a vaunted Y Records classic by Disconnection. Optimo man Keith McIvor is a self-professed Y Records freak so he must be thrilled the label granted him permission to fully license a 12" edition of Disconnection's mutant disco cover version of a song from Rodgers and Hammerstein's 1949 musical, South Pacific. This Optimo Music Disco Plate edition is an exact replica of the original Y Records 12" from 1982 - aside from the fact it arrives in a shrink-wrapped black disco bag with a 12" x 12" insert featuring the original front sleeve artwork. Look out for the extra freaky UK Discomix version that sits on the flip alongside the "faux exotica delight" of "Aaaah".
